The beautiful beaches of Kos, a wonderful massage and the various possibilities for hiking, cycling and swimming in the sea or our large pool will make your vacation complete.

Every morning before yoga, we make a tasty juice for you. After the yoga session a breakfast, freshly baked bread, different kind of cheeses from the island, yogurt, nuts and seeds and seasonal fruits. We serve a delicious Greek style dinner, prepared on-site by our chef. Everything fresh and with as many local products as possible.

The meals are vegetarian and vegan. At dinner it's 'bring your own booze'. Always nice to try newly discovered Greek wines. The food, nice company and atmospheric lanterns will create a successful evening.

Filtered water, herbal tea and coffee are available all day.

Awakening:
While you wake up, we prepare a delicious fresh juice for you Afterwards, you start the day on your yoga mat while enjoying the fresh air and the first sunbeams. After this wonderful morning yoga, a rich and healthy breakfast will be waiting for you.

The rest of the day:
The rest of the day, you will have all the time to do what you like and we'll give you recommendations for the best places to go. In the early evening you have a lesson with views of the sunset.

In the evenings we serve a delicious Greek style dinner, prepared on-site by our chef. Everything fresh and we use local products as much as possible. The meals are vegan and vegetarian. At dinner it’s ‘bring your own booze‘. Always nice to taste newly discovered Greek wines.

The sunset meditation at Hippocrates Altis where we take you for the last evening together will be very special. It is close to the Asklepion, the sacred place of Hippocrates, father of Medicine who was born on Kos. The unique atmosphere makes this meditation an unforgettable experience.

One evening we go to Therma. These are natural hot springs, which the Greeks themselves use to relax and enjoy. While the sun goes down and the stars come out, it is wonderful to float in the warm water with the sounds of the mountain goats in the background.

Yoga Styles:
Yoga on Kos provides Hatha, Yin, Gentle Flow, Restorative yoga and meditation during this retreat.

To me yoga is an approach to life that values appropriate effort, based on balance and harmony, within each person and with each other. It is a time to be still, slow down the constant chatter of the mind and tune in to your body’s sensations. My yoga classes include postures, breathing exercises, relaxation, and meditation. I like my yoga practice to boost physical and mental well-being.
Rosan Oosterom
The practice of yoga and meditation has become a very important part of my life. I knew I wanted to share these beautiful experiences with the world. My style of teaching feels like a journey of the self through the self to the self. I invite you to turn your focus inwards, to become more aware of your breath and the sensations in your own body and I keep on guiding you through the whole practice so you become the explorer. My main focus will always be love and compassion for yourself.

Becoming aware of the body, breath and thoughts. Observing, and accepting what is. To discover how there’s always movement. Our body as the pathway to the present moment. That’s what yoga is teaching me. In my yoga classes I focus on relaxation in the poses, natural breathing and embodiment. My yoga journey began in 2009 when I lived in India for an internship. Before I joined my first yoga class, I learned about yoga philosophy just by talking to my Indian friends. Over the years I followed multiple yoga trainings to gain more knowledge about asanas, breathing techniques and yoga philosophy.

Yoga is a beautiful gift to the world. I feel very blessed to have been born into a Yogi family with an Indian father and an English mother, My mother is a yoga teacher and I discovered yoga through her at a very young age. In my sessions, i draw upon all my experiences of healing arts & yoga. I am deeply passionate about being a part of the healing journey of my students. I always listen to the energy and needs of the students and adapt each class to everyones needs offering modifications, keeping the practice playful & fun too.

For me yoga is a philosophy of life. I can't imagine life without yoga. It makes me happy to see what yoga can do for people. To me it is important that people are friendly, both to themselves and to others. This is also reflected during the sessions. By participating with attention and gentleness, one learns to be more tolerant: towards oneself as well as towards the people around. This makes life and the world more beautiful.

Yoga taught me to get out of my head and back into my body. To connect with whatever there is in that moment. In my classes, hatha and restorative / yin, I find it important to challenge yourself in the moment and don’t take it (or yourself) too seriously. My classes are suitable for all-levels of yoga. I incorporate the yoga philosophy in an accessible way and invite you to take the yoga off the mat into your life.

Since 2014 my life has turned upside down, I learned and noticed how important it is to take good care of my body in daily life. Yoga is enormously supportive in this and now it has become much more of a lifestyle than just the physical postures in a yoga class. I like to combine and make intuitive use of these styles depending on the group, setting and time. Nearest Airport

Book your flights to Kos Island International Airport (KGS). Airport transfers are included at the start and end of the retreat (not if you arrive or departure on different dates before or after). If you want, Yoga on Kos can help you with booking your flight ticket. Check-in starts from 14.00 and is possible until 22.00.

How to get there

The yoga center is located 1.5 kilometers from the city of Kos. Near, but still far enough from the hustle and bustle. It also allows you to make special walks and cycling trips in the area. On these routes, you will find the real Greek tavernas, where you can enjoy the local atmosphere and the wonderful hospitality of the Greeks. Pur yoga center is exclusive for yoga holiday guests.

Accommodation

All the rooms have a private bathroom, air conditioning and balcony. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas. In the lush garden there are plenty of nice spots where you can read and relax in one of the hammocks. Or you can take a dip in our large pool.

Every morning we prepare a fresh fruit or vegetable wake up juice for you. A rich and healthy breakfast will be served in the garden. Freshly baked bread, different kind of cheeses from the island, yogurt, nuts and seeds and seasonal fruits. Filtered water, herbal tea and coffee are available all day.

In the evenings (except for Thursday) we serve a delicious Greek style dinner, prepared on-site by our chef. Everything fresh and with as many local products as possible. The meals are vegan and vegetarian. At dinner it’s ‘bring your own booze‘. Always nice to try newly discovered Greek wines. The table is set, nice company and atmospheric lanterns with candles in the trees which creates an unforgettable evening.

Booking Terms

• To confirm your booking with us, you will be required to pay a 25% deposit of the balance of the trip which is detailed under dates and prices.

• Moderate fitness levels are required for the Yoga Holidays.
We will ask you for previous medical conditions. It is your responsibility to inform us.

• We strongly advise you take out appropriate insurance at the time of booking. This insurance must cover all travels and activities chosen during your holiday and cover public liability, property damage and its contents, cancellation of your holiday and the cost of assistance, including repatriation, in the event of accident or illness.

Cancellation Policy

• A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
• The deposit is non-refundable. Only refundable a week prior to arrival.
• The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
